10 Tough Things About Being a Military Wife

We’re halfway through our carnival! I debated on using today’s topic because as Wives of Faith, in our local groups and online, we try to stay focused on the hope we have in Christ and look for the positive. But, the reality is that even when our faith is strong, we still deal with tough issues and we still face challenges. Today’s blog post assignment for the carnival is to write about some of those tough things – it’s a chance to let friends and family know some of the challenges you deal with, and an opportunity to see, after reading others posts, that you aren’t alone.

Bonus: For every challenge you write about, add a way that you are able to deal with it, or overcome it!

Today’s Giveaway is an Audio Bible from FaithComesFromHearing.com and the book Heart of a Military Woman by Sheryl Roush and Eldonna Fernandez.

To be eligible for today’s drawing, you need to do two things: 1) link back to this post. 2) Post a link to your post in the comments section below.  Anyone can comment but only those participating in the blog carnival are eligible for the drawing.

VERY IMPORTANT: The winner will be announced today at 6 p.m. CST. You have two days to send me your contact info (sara@wivesoffaith.org) so we can mail you your prize. Be sure to include your email address in your comment if you’re not sure you’ll be checking back. Otherwise, if I don’t hear from you, we will pick another winner.

This was harder, as I've made a concerted effort to try not to complain! :) But here is my list of challenges: http://pattiethechaplainswife.blogspot.com/2010/0…

okay, this one wasn't so much fun to write but i'm enjoying reading other milspouse lists – really reinforces that "we're all in this together" feeling :-)

This one was tricky because I try to remain positive, and overall, our military experience has been positive.&nbsp http://pullinguptheweeds.blogspot.com/2010/05/10-tough-things-about-being-military.html” rel=”nofollow”>;http://pullinguptheweeds.blogspot.com/2010/05/10-tough-things-about-being-military.html

I agree this was one of the harder ones. but I went ahead and wrote out my post for the rest of the week to encourage me. And I think it helps others to know we struggle with the same issues.

I'm sorry I'm starting the carnival late, and that this is the first one I started on, but I'm looking forward to doing more fun and happy ones!

  9. This list was a lot harder than yesterdays! I guess that's good that we have more to be thankful for than to complain about!
