“I’m a Military Wife” WoF Video Project Launches

Hi ladies! A few members of our Wives of Faith Leadership Team are starting to work on a special video project we’re calling “I’m a Military Wife” as we prepare for our fall retreat and we really need your help!

If you have a web cam or access to a video camera, we want to invite you to tape yourself answering the question “Why are you, you?” OR “What makes you a military spouse?”

Please record yourself answering with a ONE-SENTENCE STATEMENT. These statements can be funny or serious, but let it truly describe you.

For example:

  • “I’m waiting for my husband to come home but I’m not waiting on life!”
  • “I’m seriously tired today.”
  • “The FBI has nothing on the number of acronyms I know!”
  • “I’ve lived in 20 states and counting…”

You may also submit your statements via email and we may use them over other images. No names or identifiers will be used.

Also, we would love to receive pictures of you and your military families – whether that’s you and your husband and/or children, or you and your sister military wives.

Videos must be 30 seconds or less in one of the following acceptable formats: .MPEG4, .MOV, .WMV, .AVI. Still images  must be 300 dpi and no smaller than 300px wide.

Send your submissions to hello@wivesoffaith.org by April 30. We’ll show the finished video in May during our annual Military Spouse Appreciation Blog Carnival!
