Meet Shamberly

We love our bloggers here at Wives of Faith!

I’d like to introduce you to Shamberly, one of our bloggers. She’s contributed content for us on Murphy’s law and moving.
Name – Shamberly Coleman

Husband’s Branch of Service – Army

# Years as a Military Wife – Almost 6 (March 19th, 2011 will be the 6 year mark)

Kids  - Boy, 4 yrs. and Girl, 2 yrs.

Favorite Thing About Military Life – God brought us into this military life, providing the opportunity and reason to move us from place to place, where He introduces us to new people who He works in and through to help teach us lessons, show us His mercies and grace, and help us continuously grow closer with Him… I love seeing God work and seeing Him orchestrate everything in our lives – including each duty station we go to. He has a purpose in everything, every place, and everyone. Each day is a new opportunity to increase in our faith. God has opened my eyes to a world that I never would have known had I stayed in the small town I grew up in.

Favorite Things to Do – I love writing, reading, horseback riding, music – specifically singing, baking, and learning new things – currently, I am in the process of learning to cut and style hair :o )

Favorite Color – Royal Purple

One thing from my bucket list is . . . – It’s hard to choose just one! I’m going to give two just because I can’t decide ~ I want to make a difference for Christ in someone else’s life. I also want to live in Charleston, SC at some point in my life for a significant amount of time; something just draws me there, though I’ve never been.

Why I love Wives of Faith! – The Wives of Faith community has been such an encouragement to me over the past couple of years. It has really shown me that I am not alone in this, despite often feeling as though no one really understands what we go through as a military family (due to often living so far from the military community for several years). It has brought me in contact with so many wonderful, faithful, Christian military wives who have taught me so much, lifted me up, and just become true friends – even though many of whom I’ve never met face to face! What a blessing this community has been!

Favorite Color: Green all shades

One thing from my bucket list is . . .To visit the Holy Land and Rome

Why I love Wives of Faith!: Wives of Faith connected me to other military wives when I was so isolated. We still are somewhat because of our distance to T’s unit but I don’t feel that way because I know that I have so many ladies that I can reach out to.
