As preparations are being finished up for the event in Franklin for Wives of Faith next Monday, I think of our founder Sara Horn. She truly is a visionary. Her heart to minister and reach out to those who need encouagement and support is amazing.

I have thought about how many Americans have been men and women of vision. If you can think of those who were, it was always a vision for greatness. No one ever had a vision for failure. I mean that would make no sense at all.

Recently in our Sunday School lesson a point was made that we continue to become numb to things that we were so shocked about only a few years ago. I was introduced to a new word that day. The word is inculcation. It means to instill, ingrain and implant by repeated statement or to cause influence. (www.dictionary.com) We see things on TV, the movies or even on the computer that first shock us then after viewing for several times repeatedly we might just cruise through the same shock situation.

I am saying this because I wish with all my heart we could inculcate America with the vision of greatness for our military and their families. How many of you receive the forwards on e-mail with the military theme? I often sit at my computer after viewing one and tears are rolling down my face. How wonderful if we were able to see these on television several times a night and inculcate patriotism and pride for America ? Pride for our military and honor for them and their families as they serve to give us the freedoms we have.

I pray that this week you will keep a vision for greatness at the front of your life. God holds the future in His hands but He expects us to live our lives striving to be perfected until the day of His coming Phil 1:6. There is much going on around us that tests our faith, our family, our marriages and the love we have in our hearts through salvation in Christ Jesus. There is no looking back with Jesus. There is only a vision of greatness with Him.

I look forward to seeing those of you who will attend on May 12th. It will be a special night to honor those of you who are serving alongside your military husbands and to have those from the community come to reach out and touch our wonderful military families.
