Sara Horn
Sara Horn is the co-founder and president of Wives of Faith. As the wife of a Navy reservist, she realized the importance of connecting with other military wives when her husband Cliff started preparing for his first deployment to Iraq in 2007.
Sara is an award-winning writer and collaborator who has worked with high-profile authors, finishing seven books in five years.
In 2003 she made two trips to the Middle East to document stories of Christians in the midst of the Iraq War. She shares many of these stories in her first book, A Greater Freedom: Stories of Faith from Operation Iraqi Freedom, written with best-selling author Oliver North.
At the beginning of her career, she was a regular contributor to Baptist Press and Christian Retailing, and freelanced for other publications including Preaching Magazine, and Home Life.
Sara is the publisher of the faith-based military news site, AGreaterFreedom.com, launched in early 2005. She is a regular contributor for Military Spouse Magazine and CinCHouse.com, writing about Reserve and Guard issues.
In 2009, Sara was included in Military Spouse Magazine’s annual “Who’s Who Among Military Spouses.” Her new book, GOD Strong: A Military Wife’s Spiritual Survival Guide, releases in February.
