It’s the most wonderful time of the year…
…and to help us get into the Christmas spirit, we’re hosting our second annual Christmas Blog Tour here at Wives of Faith! If you’re a blogger, you’ll want to participate in this fun countdown to Christmas for military wives!
Starting Dec. 6, we will post a new Christmas topic each day through Dec. 12. There are just two basic rules to participate:
Rule #1: Write a blog that goes along with our Christmas topic for the day and comment under that specific day’s topic with a link back to your own blog post.
Rule #2: Include a link to Wives of Faith in your blog post.
Write every day for 7 days, or pick and choose any days you like, but each time you comment on the Wives of Faith site during our CHRISTMAS BLOG CARNIVAL, you’ll be entered to win in our daily drawing for some really great gifts! And we’ll be giving away something every day for those 7 days so the more you participate, the greater chance you have of winning something!
Be sure to add our blog carnival button! You can get the code on this post here.

For those who like to plan ahead, we are offering the topics in advance!
Dec. 6: Your favorite Christmas tree ornament or Christmas decoration (include a picture too for an extra drawing entry!)
Dec. 7: Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without ______ . (This is taken from the first line of Little Women, “‘Christmas won’t be Christmas without any presents,’ grumbled Jo, lying on the rug.”)
Dec. 8: The Worst Christmas Song Ever (but you must mention one redeeming quality of the song, too!)
Dec. 9: Write your own “Grown-Up Christmas List” (taken from Amy Grant’s song of the same title)
Dec. 10: What Christmas means to me.
Dec. 11: You might be a military spouse at Christmas if . . .
Dec. 12: How does your faith refresh at Christmastime?
Blogging FAQs:
If you are new to blogging, you can create a new blog of your very own! Some free blog hosting sites are:
www.blogger.com
www.wordpress.com
www.xanga.com
www.livejournal.com
www.blog.com
When you post your response in the comments each day, please post the distinct URL for your post for that day, rather than the general link to your blog itself. For example, instead of posting www.wivesoffaith.org each time, you would post http://www.wivesoffaith.org/2010-christmas-blog-carnival which links directly to that particular post.
Please let us know if you have any questions, and happy writing–and a very Merry Christmas!
