The Board of Directors for Wives of Faith officially formed in January of 2010 and since achieving our goal of establishing our 501c3 status as a non-profit ministry, we continue to work towards our other goals of solidifying our ministry plan in conjunction with our ministry and vision, and growing the ministry.
The Board includes:
Sara Horn – Sara is the founder and president of Wives of Faith, and led the Nashville WoF group since its inception in 2006 until last year when she moved with her family out of state. She’s married to her Navy Reservist husband of 13 years, Cliff, and has been a military wife for just as long and is also mom to their 10-year-old son Caleb. She is an award-winning writer and author. Her books include the Gold-Medallion-nominee, A Greater Freedom: Stories of Faith from Operation Iraqi Freedom written with Oliver North; Faith Deployed edited by Jocelyn Green which Sara contributed essays for; and GOD Strong: A Military Wife’s Spiritual Survival Guide, Sara’s book which released in 2010. Her Bible study, Tour of Duty: Preparing Our Hearts for Deployment released in November of 2010. Sara’s most recent project is a personal account of one year of her life, My So-Called Life as a Proverbs 31 Wife, released in September of 2011. She has been a contributor to Military Spouse Magazine, CinCHouse.com and enjoys speaking to military spouse groups. She currently lives in the Southeast Louisiana area with her husband, who just returned from his second deployment, and their son, who is 10.
Shauna Irizarry - Shauna has been a Military Wife for 15 years; she has been through two overseas deployments as well as several stateside separations for schools and various training. Her husband is currently with the TN National Guard. Shauna has volunteered with TN National Guard Family Programs since 2006 by serving as a Family Readiness Group co-leader, a Regional Volunteer Coordinator (RVC) alternate, and an acting RVC. She currently serves as a member of the TN National Guard Family Programs State Council advisory member. In addition to Guard Programs, Shauna is also a part of Wives of Faith (WoF). She currently serves as WoF Secretary for the Board, Prayer Ministry Leader, and Rutherford County TN Group Leader. Shauna and her family are active in their church, Family Worship Center, in Murfreesboro, TN. Shauna and her family have recently located to Jackson, TN.
Deanna Fullerton - Deanna comes to Wives of Faith as a highly experienced volunteer with the Tennessee National Guard Family Program Office. She began serving as a Family Readiness Group Secretary/Treasurer progressing over several years and finally served as the State Volunteer Coordinator. Currently, she is a contractor working as a Family Readiness Support Assistant. Prior to this position, she worked as a Yellow Ribbon Support Specialist. She is furthering her education as a Christian Counselor through National Christian Counselors Association. Deanna is a trained QPR Suicide Prevention Instructor and has traveled the state and presented the program to Tennessee National Guard FRGs. Deanna has been married to 1SG David Fullerton for the past 22 years. They reside with their son Daniel in Murfreesboro, TN.
Cliff Horn – Cliff represents the male and service member perspective on our board for Wives of Faith and plays an important role, offering his expertise as a marketing consultant who has worked with clients like Living Proof Live with Beth Moore, LifeWay’s Love and Marriage seminars and BuzzPlant Marketing. Working in Nashville for more than 8 years, Cliff has had the privilege of working for companies like Dave Ramsey’s FPU for Military, LifeWay Christian Stores, and was the Marketing and Promotions Director for Way-FM Media in Nashville serving radio stations in Franklin, Clarksville, Bowling Green, Montgomery, AL and Rome, GA.
Cliff is a Navy Reservist with NMCB 28 serving as their Training Petty Officer for Millington Det 9. In his 14 years of service he was deployed to Iraq in 2007. While there he worked with Task Force Operations and earned the Joint Service Achievement Medal for his work with Special Forces. He recently returned from his second deployment, carrying out humanitarian missions in South America.
He has been married to Sara for 13 years and they have a son Caleb who is 10.
