Changes

For those of you who are members of the FMWCN/Wives of Faith message board, and those of you who were listeners of the show last year, I wanted to let you know that I’ve decided to step down from doing the radio show.

I hate goodbyes. Growing up, my family moved around a lot with my dad’s job. I was in 10 schools before high school. And no, he wasn’t in the military. But saying goodbye and starting over was still never easy.  As I got older, physical goodbyes have not been as frequent as the emotional ones – saying goodbyes to passages or seasons of life. Learning, growing and moving forward.

As much as I love talking with Shannon and with our listeners, I recognize that my sweet spot is writing. I also need to focus on the needs of Wives of Faith this year and there is only so much time in a day. I’m sure you can relate! I’m so thankful that God’s given me a passion for ministering to military wives but I want to do it in the way He wants me to and at this time I need to focus on helping grow local Wives of Faith groups and developing the resources those local leaders will need to minister to wives in their communities.

It has been great to partner with Shannon and work with someone who is also just as passionate about ministering to military wives and I’m looking forward to seeing great things come from the show this year. Wives of Faith and FMWCN will still work together on some things, like the message board we will continue to share, and the Survival Sister chats. I wish Shannon and Kayti and FMWCN a great 2010 and a wonderful new year of shows! Please check out the show which starts at a new day and time beginning this week on Fridays at 11 a.m. (EST).
