This is the first video for Wives of Faith Online – if you don’t live near a local chapter or you have to miss a meeting, now you can be part of what we’re talking about. The total time for this video is a little over 20 minutes so I’ve broken it up into 4 segments. Be sure to open and print the LISTENER’S GUIDE which will give you some good notes you can hold onto for later review. And after you’ve watched the video, don’t leave! Offer your thoughts in the comments area and let’s get a virtual discussion going. This is always one of the best parts of being at an actual Wives of Faith meeting, because you can share what’s on your mind and also hear what others have to say.
If video buffering drives you crazy like it does me, you may want to let the video load completely before you start watching it. I’m always open to your suggestions so we can improve this new way of communicating with everyone. The more we do this, the better it will be. Please email me with your feedback (sara@wivesoffaith.org). Hope you enjoy this first online meeting!
Don’t forget to share your thoughts in the comments section!

Sara,No matter how old we are we all need to be reminded "Who is in control!" Thanks for that reminder. And thanks for loving the Lord and my son.Nancy

My mother in law is right,
, we all need to be reminded that God is in control. So let's get the discussion going – what are some of the fears that you face? What do you struggle with?

Sara, thank you for posting this online! This is awesome for those of us who cannot attend in person.
I have grown up in the church as a Christian but I struggle with simply going through the motions. I definitely need to work on focusing on him and the promises he has laid out in front of us. I want to have stronger faith and a better relationship with our Lord and Father. God is in control…I need to Let Go and Let God!

What an encouragement Sara, It was exactly what I was hoping for, being that we are so far from the nearest chapter. I really needed this. With everything piling up with my husband and not knowing what God is doing, its hard sometimes to Be Still and Know God. Thank you for your heart for us military wives. It makes such a difference. I have a lot of fears right now that I am wrestling with – so this is just what I needed to hear. I found a verse this morning that I wanted to share. Psalm 34:4 – "I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears."

Fear has been such an issue in me over the last few weeks. Fear about this deployment, what it "might" do to our marriage, and many other "what ifs." Don't let your mind go there….to the "what ifs." It is a dangerous place where the devil lurks to "steal, kill, and destroy." I am reminded daily to be "filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse." (Phil. 4:8 The Message) God has taken me on a miraculous journey through that fear to the place that I am today. And the most important thing that He reminds of daily is that no matter how hard I try, I am not nor will I ever be, in control. And as soon as I give up trying to control, is the instant when I allow God work in my life. Thank you God for continuing to work in my life! I AM truly blessed!
