One of the toughest things about military life for the spouse is having to find new employment with each PCS. Thankfully, there are resources available to help!
I received this in my email inbox recently, and I wanted to share. I did change the website to the general military one instead of the Air Force-specific one I received, but the information is the same.

I highly recommend all military wives who are enrolled in DEERS and looking to head back to school apply for this. It is the easiest scholarship I have ever received. It is a stimulus plan, but thankfully one we can benefit from. All you need to do is apply, be confirmed by DEERS (medical) that you are, in fact, a registered military spouse, and you will receive the funding until it runs out.
My approval took about 12 days start to finish, although now I understand there is a hold up. My only hiccup is that my global online school is not accepting MyCAA until the funding comes through (which could take MONTHS). I do understand, however! The stimulus is to boost the economy, and the money isn't even printed yet! So without it, my school is not benefitting at all with so many military spouses.
If you have any more questions just comment and I can respond with my experience.
A very valuable post!

This is a GREAT program. We just PCSed to Belgium & there are no jobs available over here so I wanted to get my Bachelors while I have the time. I read about MyCAA on militaryonesource.com & thought it was just another tough scholarship. When I went to the education advisor on our base he said that I should apply because it is easy & free. I set up my account in minutes, my account was credited for $6,000, & a few days later I was enrolled in school. This was the easiest process ever. My class doesn't start until the end of August & my tuition is paid for already. I HIGHLY recommend any spouse that wants to start or finish school to apply.
