Connect with other military wives in the Franklin/Thompson Station/Spring Hill area!
Wives of Faith at Thompson Station Church will start our first semester in January and we’re offering two different times and types of meetings to meet your needs! All meetings will be held in Room E217 in the new Equipping Center Building.
A monthly Wednesday night meeting will start Jan. 21 from 6:30 – 8 p.m. Our theme this month is “New Beginnings.” Our semester will run in conjunction with the church’s semester, so we will meet the third Wednesday of the month from Jan. 21 through May 19 and resume official meetings September 15 through November with a Christmas party the first part of December.
A weekly Thursday morning meeting will start Jan. 22 from 9:30 – 11 a.m. and run through May 6. We will begin our weekly time together going through “A Wife of Faith”, a six-week study of what it means to be spiritually prepared for deployment. We often convince ourselves that we need to do everything on our own power, but it’s God’s strength we need. The remaining nine weeks of our time together will be spent reading through the book GOD Strong: A Military Wife’s Spiritual Survival Guide, by Sara Horn. We will remind ourselves of why God is in control, why we can have joy no matter what our circumstances, that superwomen get grace too, and that God knows where we hurt. There is a resource/book fee of $15.
CHILDCARE
Childcare IS available and the church is waiving their childcare fee of $20 for any military wife currently going through deployment. (Thank you Thompson Station Church!!) On Wednesday nights, regular children’s programming is free and available for first grade and up.
The church has asked that you please register through their website, either (or both) for the Wednesday night or Thursday mornings, so they can get a count for childcare needs.
