My personal blog (http://goingplacesjbr.blogspot.com). Just a daily journal of my personal experience, military included! :)

  2. avatar Jenny says:

I've blogged on and off over the last six years or so, but I'm hoping this one sticks. It's just life: Christ, my husband, this deployment, my continuing education… Sometimes it's deep and meaningful, and sometimes it just recounts the days activities.

  3. I started this when my husband moved from reserve status to active duty last June.  I use it mainly to post pics of me and the kids for him while he is deployed and for our friends/family to stay in the know so they can pray for us. http://thejohnsonfiveadventures.blogspot.com

  4. avatar Alia says:

This is my new blog, just decided to share a little about everything going on during this deployment, just a few posts cause it is brand new! :) yellowribbondiary.blogspot.com

  5. avatar Terri Barnes says:

I am a military wife of almost 25 years, a veteran of multiple deployments and overseas moves. My husband is an Air Force chaplain, and I love life in the military — most days :)
I write a column for Stars and Stripes called "Spouse Calls" and maintain a blog by the same name. Click on my name for the link. I write for a secular outlet where I reach out to help spouses of all faiths or no faith at all. However, my column and blog are personal, and in my writing, as in my life, my faith in Christ is foundational.

  6. My husband joined the Air Force this last summer so I am New to being a Military wife.  My blog is about my family and our new adventure!

  7. My husband is activated Tn National Guard. I started our blog "In Christ Alone" to share our life, and show what God is doing it. Plus have a place for prayer requests and journaling. I want to show my two young girls how big our God is! That He is in control.I want to have a record of how amazing God is and how He has worked in our life. I want my blog to be an encouragement even thought I think I get more encouragement than anyone else. This is our first deployment. I would love any advice, wisdom, encouragement, and prayers anyone has to offer. Just visit and drop me a line.
    Be Blessed!

My fiance is in ROTC (Army), and will be commissioning this coming December, in about a year. My blog ( http://greatandterriblequest.xanga.com/weblog ) is a smattering of regular life, Colin's and my story as it unfolds, as well as tidbits of useful news, ideas, or encouragement I find.  I'm in my Junior year of college and work part time as well, so am keeping very busy, but love when I have the opportunity to write. :) God bless!Priscilla

  9. I'm a former military wife and a current retired-military girlfriend, so not exactly a military wife, but I'm VERY pro military on my blog.  http://www.theamericanhomemaker.blogspot.com

  10. avatar Chelle says:

I use my blog to journal our lives in the Army since we were having a difficult time in the beginning transitioning from the Navy. It follows my adventures as a SAHM, being apart, and the randomness that comes out of our 3 yr old's mouth.

  11. avatar Crystal says:

This is just my little slice of the Internet where I share the joys of my life, our life. My husband is in the US Air Force & we are preparing for our first REAL PCS this summer. It will be a HUGE transition & journey for us, so more of that is to come. Right now I'm fresh out of work & on a personal journey (spiritual, emotional, health-wise, etc).

Hi! I'm an Air Force spouse of 21+ years…my hubby is deployed for a year (again)…we've been through several deployments, and 9 across country/around the world relocations. We've got 4 children, one about to head off to college!

  19. avatar Aimee says:

I started this blog as a way for my family and friends back home to keep up with our busy and ever changing lives. It's about military living, being a mommy, and getting back into the Emergency Medical Services world.

  20. avatar Jessica says:

Hi — my blog, Household Six (http://www.timsarmywifey.blogspot.com), covers our whole life not just military experiences but as we are a military family I guess that works! :)

  23. avatar reilly says:

I have a question.. I am about to move with my new hubby to my first station!!! yay! anyway I am freshly graduated from college and will be going from 23credits and 35 hours of work a week too…… nothing! lol

To keep myself a little busy I have been thinking about starting a blog when i get there, but also i have considered doing something along the lines of fitness…

now just to get the opinions of other military wives I would like to know how you all feel about personal trainers, or fitness programs available to you on base?

if there was another army wife who was a trainer would you use her? or if there were say "boot camps" set up where you could join other ladies to work out together?

what if it was all online and you could join a military wife community where workouts, diets, meals, were posted and everyone could support each other and work together towards achieving a healthy lifestyle?

thank you so much for any an all input!!!

      • avatar Kristi says:

        Hi Amie

My advice would be to look at everything that comes your way as a God given adventure. Each adventure has its pros and cons but you'll be on to the next one before you know it so enjoy the "pros" while you can andjust battle through the cons.

  25. avatar Beth says:

What a fun idea! Our blog is about our day to day life as a family. My husband is an NFO in the Navy so our adventure is made a little more interesting thanks to the military!

  47. avatar Ivey says:

I'm a USAF brat, veteran, spouse and now work for the AF as a DoD civilian. I've been around the block and know a thing or two.

Some of our military members live from paycheck to paycheck. Some are even on food stamps! These are the guys and gals that leave their families and and fight for all of us! They have enough on their plates as it is…only to have to deal with financial burdens. THIS SHOULD NOT BE!

The Military Brat's "mission" is to be a fun place to learn ways to cut corners on your budget with coupons and deals and SAVE money. It's, of course, geared toward the military, but there are all kinds of goodies for EVERYONE.
