New Bible Study: The Power of a Praying Wife

Hi Ladies,

I am going to be posting about the book, “The Power of a Praying Wife” by Stormie Omartian. I will be reading and learning right alongside you, and I hope that it speaks to you as it does to me. Praying is an important aspect of the Christian walk, and praying for our husbands is no exception. It is my hope that at the end of this study, you will know how to pray for your husband, what to pray for him, and have become closer to him and to God because of it!

I am really looking forward to starting this study, and I hope you are too! If you would like to get your own book to follow along with me, feel free. If you don’t have the book I am going to try to make it as easy as possible to follow along and I hope that you will feel free to leave comments and add to the discussion!

There are 30 chapters in this book, some are long and some are short, I think it would take too long to do one post per chapter so sometimes I will do one chapter and sometimes I will cover more than one. Everything in quotations and in black font will be direct lines from the book. and anything in purple font, will be my own words. That way it will keep it from being confusing to you.

I will posting every Tuesday. Looking forward to it, and hoping that it is an encouragement to you!

This is a great book. I'm excited to revisit it! I would encourage every wife to read it.

  2. I am currently reading through this off and on. I think it is extremely important to pray for my husband. He is the leader of the home and accountable to God for such, so we need him to be fulfilling that duty!!!! I think praying for our husbands also softens our hearts towards all of his many needs instead of just focusing on our own.

  3. Looks like I need to dig out my copy. DH is coming home soon from a year deployment and I know that this will help me to be a better wife and help him with his readjustment.

  4. Sounds exciting … guess I need to pull my copy off of the shelf. I started it but never got very far with it. Hopefully this will be motivation to start again.
