Our Board
The Board of Directors for Wives of Faith officially formed in January of 2010 and since achieving our goal of establishing our 501c3 status as a non-profit ministry, we continue to work towards our other goals of solidifying our ministry plan in conjunction with our ministry and vision, and growing the ministry.
The Board includes:
Sara Horn – Sara is the founder and president of Wives of Faith, and led the Nashville WoF group since its inception in 2006 until last year when she moved with her family out of state. She’s married to her Navy Reservist husband of 13 years, Cliff, and has been a military wife for just as long and is also mom to their 10-year-old son Caleb. She is an award-winning writer and author. Her books include the Gold-Medallion-nominee, A Greater Freedom: Stories of Faith from Operation Iraqi Freedom written with Oliver North; Faith Deployed edited by Jocelyn Green which Sara contributed essays for; and GOD Strong: A Military Wife’s Spiritual Survival Guide, Sara’s book which released in 2010. Her Bible study, Tour of Duty: Preparing Our Hearts for Deployment released in November of 2010. Sara’s most recent project is a personal account of one year of her life, My So-Called Life as a Proverbs 31 Wife, released in September of 2011. She has been a contributor to Military Spouse Magazine, CinCHouse.com and enjoys speaking to military spouse groups. She currently lives in the Southeast Louisiana area with her husband, who just returned from his second deployment, and their son, who is 10.
Shauna Irizarry - Shauna has been a Military Wife for 15 years; she has been through two overseas deployments as well as several stateside separations for schools and various training. Her husband is currently with the TN National Guard. Shauna has volunteered with TN National Guard Family Programs since 2006 by serving as a Family Readiness Group co-leader, a Regional Volunteer Coordinator (RVC) alternate, and an acting RVC. She currently serves as a member of the TN National Guard Family Programs State Council advisory member. In addition to Guard Programs, Shauna is also a part of Wives of Faith (WoF). She currently serves as WoF Secretary for the Board, Prayer Ministry Leader, and Rutherford County TN Group Leader. Shauna and her family are active in their church, Family Worship Center, in Murfreesboro, TN. Shauna and her family have recently located to Jackson, TN.
Deanna Fullerton - Deanna comes to Wives of Faith as a highly experienced volunteer with the Tennessee National Guard Family Program Office. She began serving as a Family Readiness Group Secretary/Treasurer progressing over several years and finally served as the State Volunteer Coordinator. Currently, she is a contractor working as a Family Readiness Support Assistant. Prior to this position, she worked as a Yellow Ribbon Support Specialist. She is furthering her education as a Christian Counselor through National Christian Counselors Association. Deanna is a trained QPR Suicide Prevention Instructor and has traveled the state and presented the program to Tennessee National Guard FRGs. Deanna has been married to 1SG David Fullerton for the past 22 years. They reside with their son Daniel in Murfreesboro, TN.
Cliff Horn – Cliff represents the male and service member perspective on our board for Wives of Faith and plays an important role, offering his expertise as a marketing consultant who has worked with clients like Living Proof Live with Beth Moore, LifeWay’s Love and Marriage seminars and BuzzPlant Marketing. Working in Nashville for more than 8 years, Cliff has had the privilege of working for companies like Dave Ramsey’s FPU for Military, LifeWay Christian Stores, and was the Marketing and Promotions Director for Way-FM Media in Nashville serving radio stations in Franklin, Clarksville, Bowling Green, Montgomery, AL and Rome, GA.
Cliff is a Navy Reservist with NMCB 28 serving as their Training Petty Officer for Millington Det 9. In his 14 years of service he was deployed to Iraq in 2007. While there he worked with Task Force Operations and earned the Joint Service Achievement Medal for his work with Special Forces. He recently returned from his second deployment, carrying out humanitarian missions in South America.
He has been married to Sara for almost 13 years and they have a son Caleb who is 10.
Our Ministry Team

Pattie Reitz
Pattie officially joined the Wives of Faith leadership team in January 2010 as our Blog Editor. However, she’s been with us almost since the beginning, helping in our first attempt at a message board, offering encouragement and support in letting others know about us and writing regularly for our blog and newsletter. Pattie loves writing and is a voracious reader. In addition to her work with Wives of Faith, Pattie reviews for the Christian Fiction Blog Alliance as well as for several publishers. She is also a member of American Christian Fiction Writers. Pattie recently began teaching college English part-time for Wayland Baptist University in Anchorage, Alaska.

Shauna Irizarry
Shauna is a National Guard wife who has been with Wives of Faith since 2007, first as a group co-leader and then as part of our 2008 leadership team. She currently leads the Rutherford County Wives of Faith group and also serves as our Prayer Ministry Leader, connecting women from all over the country who have stepped up to be prayer warriors for military wives. Jessica Crow
Jessica is an Army Reservist wife from Alabama who serves on our leadership team as MemberCare Director. She has been through two deployments with her husband and they are preparing for their third. Kori Yates
Kori joined our Wives of Faith leadership team in October of 2011 as our Director of MarriageCare. An author (Olive Drab Pom-Poms) and Army wife, Kori has been married to her soldier husband for 7 years, and they have two children, a daughter, 6, and a son, 3. Kori loves adventure – she’s rappelled off of rock cliffs and scuba dived in oceans, and she’s really hoping her husband will help her jump out of an airplane one day. But as she says, the greatest adventure of all is the journey of her walk with Christ. “The adrenaline rush when I feel the Holy Spirit pushing me to do something I never expected, the surprising paths on which this journey takes me, these are the moments of unforeseen adventure I could never have anticipated,” says Kori. Amanda Sharp
Amanda Sharp is Marketing Director for Wives of Faith. She is currently an Army wife stationed at Fort Bliss with her Best Friend and Partner in life, Marcus Sharp, and their little pride and joy, Owen. She is active in the FRG for her husband’s unit and also on the board for the Fort Bliss PWOC as Publicity. Says Amanda: “I enjoy all things that allow me the opportunity to spread the word of the Lord. I also am a firm believer in positive thinking. There is good to be found in every situation!”
Rachel Porter
Rachel joined our Wives of Faith team in July of 2010 as Director of our Military Wives Overseas ministry. She gets to follow her husband, Kelly, an Army Chaplain, as they follow the call of God and country. Prior to active duty Rachel’s husband served in the Army Reserve and Army National Guard. Rachel is honored to serve alongside him in counseling, leading Bible studies, marriage retreats and other ministries both inside and outside the chapel community. Their duty stations have included Hawaii and Italy.Rachel and Kelly have three beautiful, homeschooled daughters who travel everywhere they go. Being able to serve Jesus in the military setting is a passion and privilege for Rachel. She enjoys gardening, reading, sleeping, movies and consuming dark chocolate in some form EVERYDAY! Tasha Whye
Tasha is our Survival Sisters Coordinator. She’s wife to Ben, a Marine, and mom to two adorable little girls both under the age of two. She enjoys staying home with her children while she takes classes at Northcentral University, working on her master’s in psychology in Marriage and Family Therapy. She’s excited about getting involved with Wives of Faith and serving in ministry alongside the others on the WoF leadership team and we’re excited to have her! Kayla Lindsey
Kayla Lindsey is an Army National Guard wife and CareBlast Coordinator for Wives of Faith. She and her husband, Kyle, reside in Northeast Ohio. They teach the children’s Sunday school class at their church and are involved in many other ministries. Kayla suffers from PTSD, fibromyalgia, and rheumatoid arthritis. She hopes that with these struggles God will use her life in many ways. She enjoys writing, cooking/baking, and watching movies with her Handsome. Stacey Baugh has been married to her best friend Rob for the past 9 years. Her husband recently rejoined the Army this past year after prior service of 7 years and out for 13. Stacey has had a heart for women’s ministry for several years and is excited to be part of Wives of Faith. “I know that not only did God call my husband to this mission field that is the Army, He called me too! I look forward to getting to know everyone better!”
Katie Heine has been a Navy wife for four years and is the mom of a 19-month old. Originally from West Virginia, her family has been stationed in San Diego and now Hampton Roads. She graduated from Marshall University in 2003 with a BA in Psychology and she loves to help others including other military spouses.
Ashley Maxwell is a Coast Guard wife who lives in Miami, Florida. She has been trained as an LPN but is currently enjoying being a housewife. She has 2 step-children and 2 four-legged kids. She enjoys taking pictures, scrapbooking and shopping!
A big Wives of Faith welcome to Kim Mills, our first Canadian Army wife to be part of Wives of Faith! Kim describes herself as “a child of God who believes in Grace and is grateful that His mercies are new every morning.” She is a 30 year old wife of a soldier in the Canadian Army’s Armoured Corp. She has been married to her husband for 10 years and they have 3 amazing kids, Caleb, 8, Ivy, 5 and Jonas, 3. She has survived 3 deployments to Afghanistan as well as numerous other training and domestic operations. While she went to school to be a social worker, her current full time job is mothering her children.
