Writing Guidelines for Wives of Faith
Wives of Faith’s mission is to connect, support, and encourage military wives. One of the ways we do this is by creating community—offering informative and encouraging content on our website that also enables women to discuss and share together. We are looking for friendly, passionate, enthusiastic women who enjoy writing and sharing about their experiences as military wives. If this is you, then you would be a perfect addition to our writing team!
Writers should be Wives of Faith members. Membership is free:

What are we looking for?
While our website has a wonderful variety, we are looking for original articles in the form of devotionals, how-to, first-person, inspirational or practical, with a length between 400 and 700 words.
You may include a brief bio at the end of your articles with a link to a blog, website, or email address.
We value original articles that offer positive encouragement to military wives with an emphasis on trusting God through the good times and the bad.
Topics we like:
We encourage original articles that connect, support, and encourage military wives in their Christian faith as well as through their day-to-day lives as military spouses.
You can write about topics that are important to you or comment on current events that apply to military wives. Our categories include Marriage, Books, Deployment, Events, Faith, Food, Kids, Money, Prayer, and Resources.
So what should I do?
If you would like to write for us, please contact us directly at pattie@wivesoffaith.org. Pattie will email you you directly about our current needs and answer any questions you may have. Additionally, you may submit an article for consideration as a Word document (.doc, .docx, or .rtf) to pattie@wivesoffaith.org. At this time, Wives of Faith does not pay for submitted articles; all contributions are voluntary.
What should I write?
Contributions must be unique, original content, and upon submission are owned by Wives of Faith for inclusion on our site (www.wivesoffaith.org). Contributions are exclusive to Wives of Faith for a period of 30 days, after which time they may be reposted on your own blog or others as you see fit. In the meantime we encourage you to post a link on your blog to your post at Wives of Faith. We reserve the right to keep all posts on our website indefinitely. By submitting your contribution for consideration and publication, you agree to these policies.
Available Positions:
Contributors are members of Wives of Faith who have committed to write regularly for our site. As a contributor you will be a featured blogger with a picture and a bio on our site, as well as a special Wives of Faith Blogger button for your own blog after participating for two months (button art forthcoming). We ask that you post at least twice per month.
Columnists are members of Wives of Faith and writers who have committed to contribute once a month.
Guest bloggers who would like to contribute on an occasional basis are also welcome. We will have a submission page available soon. (link forthcoming)

More than ever before, military wives need connection and encouragement. There are some wonderful sites out there doing this; our goal for Wives of Faith is to offer a positive, loving environment where military wives who are strong Christians and military wives who may not yet know the Lord can both come for support, hope and community.
