When I told him I was often so tired that sex felt like something on my to-do list, the counselor said, "Think of sex as a time to re-connect with your husband on a truly intimate, spiritual level. For men, especially, sexual intimacy in marriage enables them to be intimate in other ways with you -- communicating, helping you in the house, etc." That advice helped me greatly.On a different note, I think marriages are much healthier when couples have an open-email relationship like you and your husband have.
