Today’s Military Wife Vocabulary Word

Breaking in to the stream of blog carnival posts to add something tongue-in-cheek …

Word of the day: Voluntold

Definition: Being volunteered by a superior to do something.

Example: I was voluntold to supervise the wing’s youth Christmas party.

I have never heard this word spoken outside the military community, but apparently it is used in civilian life (click here for the Urban Dictionary definition).

I wrote the word on my list for my post today. :) the husband freaks when he's told he's being "volun-told"; it doesn't always end up being a fun thing. :(
