We Remember

Remember, LORD, your great mercy and love,
for they are from of old. ~Psalm 25:6~

We remember September 11, 2001.

Some of us were military wives.

Some of us weren’t.

Some of us were at work.

Some of us were in school.

Some of us were at home, glued to the television.

Some of us were in New York City.

Some of us were in Washington, D.C.

Some of us were in Pennsylvania.

We will all remember the day differently. I wonder, though, how many of us remember some of the same things.

Prayer. Tears. Hugs of friends and family. Snuggling our children just a little bit more tightly. Knowing our lives were about to change forever.

As we as a nation remember, pay homage, and commemorate that day a decade ago, let’s all join our hearts in prayer for those who are deployed around the world to serve and protect our nation’s citizens and our freedoms we no longer take for granted.

If your husband is deployed, please know you hold a special place in our hearts and prayers today.
