Welcome! We’re so excited you’ve found us. Whether you’ve arrived here from a search engine, or from a friend, from Facebook or from Sara’s recent interview on Focus on the Family, we want to welcome you to Wives of Faith!
Wives of Faith is a faith-based organization founded by military wives to support and encourage military wives through all the joys and challenges of life in the military. We are here for you, because we’re just like you: military wives facing deployments and TDYs and all those other acronyms! All of us here who serve with Wives of Faith are volunteers, passionate about seeing military wives experience and see God’s love first hand, especially through deployment. We want to be the hands and feet of Jesus.
We have some great things happening we’d love for you to be a part of! If you’re a blogger, join us for our Faith Friday mini-blog carnivals. And if you love using message boards to connect with other wives, we’re launching ours along with a new version of this website towards the end of the summer!
If you’d like to get more involved with our ministry, there are three ways you can do so: Join or start a local WoF group in your area, write for our website or join our MemberCare team and help reach out to our members. Speaking of members, have you filled out our free membership form yet?
If you’re the family member or just a military supporter who has stopped by looking for ways you can help support the military spouses and families in your life, church and community, thank you! Your support is so important and we want to encourage you to reach out to the spouses you know – offer to bring a meal over and help with dinner, or hold a dinner at your church on Friday nights and open it to military spouses and their families who are going through deployment. Get your small group or Sunday school class together and adopt a military spouse’s yard for the summer and help her keep it mowed. Hold mom’s night out at your church and organize activities for the kids while she gets a needed break. Also, consider supporting Wives of Faith with a small donation of $5, $10 or $25. Your gift helps with our operating expenses such as the hosting of this website and helps us build for the future.
